Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using the Mats platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Mats platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the app or website.

2. About Mats

Mats is a martial arts training and academy management platform that helps academies, trainers, students, and parents manage enrollment, attendance, training progress, grading, and related communication and payments.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Parent/Student/Trainer Responsibilities

Parents and students are responsible for providing accurate information and for attending scheduled training sessions as arranged with the academy. Trainers and academy staff are responsible for accurately recording attendance, progress, and grading-related information within the app. Mats is not responsible for information entered incorrectly by users.

5. Academy and Training Information

Academy schedules, batch details, fees, and training programs are set and managed by the respective academy. Mats provides the platform to manage this information but does not control or guarantee the content or conduct of any individual academy's training programs.

6. Attendance and Progress Tracking

Attendance and training progress shown in the app are based on data entered by trainers or academy staff. While we aim to keep this information accurate and up to date, Mats does not independently verify attendance or progress entries and is not liable for inaccuracies arising from data entered by academy users.

7. Grading/Belt Readiness

Any grading or belt readiness indicators shown in the app are based on available attendance, training data, and trainer or academy input. These indicators are for reference only. Final decisions regarding belt promotion or grading are made solely by the academy and its trainers, not automatically by the app.

8. Payments, Renewals and Refunds

Fees, renewals, and related payments made through the platform are subject to the respective academy's pricing and policies. Payments may be processed through third-party payment service providers, and such transactions are also subject to the applicable payment provider's terms and rules. Refunds, if any, are governed by the academy's refund policy and are not guaranteed by Mats.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the platform, including but not limited to: attempting unauthorized access to accounts or data, uploading unlawful or harmful content, interfering with the normal operation of the app, or using the platform for any purpose other than legitimate academy management and training activities.

10. Content and Media Uploads

Where the app allows uploading of content such as photos, you confirm that you have the right to upload such content and that it does not violate any applicable law or the rights of others. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

11. Service Availability

We aim to keep the platform available and functioning smoothly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The app may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Mats shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the platform, including issues related to academy-provided data, training outcomes, or third-party payment processing.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page reflects the most recent revision.
